Our sister project SUSTRACK is hosting the final event in the series of workshops titled “Pathway to DESIGN the Circular Bio-Based Transition” on 25 September from 10:00 to 12:00 CET.

These workshops took place in July 2024 and engaged over 175 stakeholders from sectors such as plastics, construction, textiles, and chemicals. The discussions focused on the key challenges, best practices, and recommendations across policy, environmental, social, and economic dimensions to facilitate the shift to a circular bio-based economy.

The closing event will provide an overview of:

  • The key takeaways from the “Pathway to DESIGN the Circular Bio-Based Transition” workshop series;
  • SUSTRACK’s methodologies and tools for monitoring the transition to a circular bio-based economy;
  • The SUSTRACK dynamic scenario-based tool (GEM model), which conducts a systemic analysis of current trends and proposed interventions, simulating transformative scenarios to support informed decision-making for both industries and policy development for sustainability;
  • SUSTRACK’s contributions to EU policy on the bioeconomy.
