Brussels, December 4, 2023 – The 2nd bi-annual SUSTCERT4BIOBASED Network of Interest meeting took place online on the 4th of December, 2023 and was a great success. With 21 participants the meeting included updates on the project’s development, insights into the BiobasedCert group and the Joint Monitoring System currently being developed and a very interesting brief presentation on the Certification process and how it works. The meeting was concluded with an insightful Q&A session.

SUSTCERT4BIOBASED’s Dissemination Manager, Annie Kalimeri (White Research), opened the meeting with a short welcoming note and Pinelopi Kaslama (White Research) presented the key updates of the project throughout the last 6 months.

Iris Vural Gursel (Wageningen University Research), SUSTCERT4BIOBASED coordinator, revealed the aim of BiobasedCert and the structure of the Joint Monitoring System. To enhance the knowledge of our participants on the certification process, Loek Verwijst (Control Union) provided a short talk on the certification process and how it works.
