We’re happy to announce the BIOBASEDCERT Final Conference of the Horizon Europe projects STAR4BBS, HARMONITOR, and SUSTCERT4BIOBASED. United under the BIOBASEDCERT Cluster, these projects have collaborated to advance joint efforts in supporting sustainability certification for bio-based systems.

During this event, we will showcase key project outcomes, including the BIOBASEDCERT Monitoring Tool (BMT)—a new tool developed to assess the robustness, comprehensiveness, and effectiveness of Sustainability Certification Schemes and Labels (CSLs). We will also share our policy recommendations, developed in collaboration with stakeholders across the sector.

The conference will serve as a platform for dialogue among EU policymakers, certification scheme owners, and other key stakeholders to explore the future of sustainability certification and policy frameworks in the transition to sustainable bio-based systems.
